EZ-flo Nozzle & Equipment Co. was formed in 1975 by Isaac Friedman, father of the present owners, Gary & Julius Friedman.

EZ-flo Nozzle & Equipment Co. was originally called E-Z Flow Nozzle Exchange.  Located in Covina, California, 20 miles East of Los Angeles, our original location included offices and manufacturing in a 1500 sq. ft. facility.  Upon the passing of Isaac Friedman in 1976, the Friedman Brothers changed the name of the company to EZ-flo Nozzle & Equipment Co.

During 1975-1980, EZ-flo rebuilt gasoline & diesel nozzles prior to the days of Vapor Recovery Nozzles.  It was during this time that Julius Friedman saw the need to manufacturer their own parts.  One by one, tooling was manufactured to begin the process of manufacturing their own parts.

By the early 1980's, Vapor Recovery was being installed in California.  EZ-flo was requested by it's customers to rebuild the original Vapor Recovery Nozzles.  This would be a major undertaking at the time.  It would also require a $125,000.00 investment.  In 1981, this was a very large sum of money for a small family business.

The Friedman Family had a meeting and it was decided that EZ-flo would proceed with the project, sink or swim.  By May, 1983, EZ-flo received it's first California Carb Certification, being the first company ever to certify a nozzle other than the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

By late 1983, the Friedman Family incorporated all of their companies into a newly formed company called the Friedman Marketing Corporation.  Our facility had now grown to 4500 sq. ft.

During the 1980's, EZ-flo was a leader in supplying the Best Vapor Recovery Nozzles in California.  EZ-flo also partnered with the B.F. Goodrich company to distribute the first ever Co-axial Hose.  EZ-flo also began distributing many other products including Amflo Air & Water Products, Petro Clear Fuel Filters, Frazer Gauge Rods, EBW Fill Caps, EZ-flo Hose Clamps, Meters & Computers along with many other products to compliment our nozzles.

By 1986, EZ-flo had discovered that their outside vendors could not keep up with production requirements and also that our facility was getting too small.  It was time to move.  The Friedman Brothers located a new facility only about 1 mile away.  The new building was only 5300 sq. ft, but had plenty of space for expansion.  This building was purchased, and in 2 years was enlarged to 8600 sq. ft.  By 1990, the project was complete with a new total of 12,000 sq. ft.

To stay ahead of the competition, EZ-flo wanted to take control of the complete Plastic Injection & Blow-molding process within their facility.  First, a complete tool room was installed for the manufacturing and maintenance of molds and tooling.  Next, 2 Plastic Injections Machines were purchased and then our pride and joy, a Brand New Cincinnati Milicron Blow Molding Machine was purchased and installed, pictured below.

At this point, an experienced Plastic Injection Machine operator was hired while Julius Friedman flew back to Cincinnati to learn the operations of the new Blow Molding Machine.  EZ-flo was now able to manufacturer all the plastic component parts of the nozzles and also Blow Mold the bellows within our facility.  Additional machines were purchased to allow EZ-flo complete manufacturing capabilities for Spouts also.

Quality control was now at an all-time high, and production was able to keep up with marketing.  This major undertaking was complete by 1992, and now EZ-flo could manufacturer the nozzle parts and assemble the nozzles all within the same facility.

By 1994, many of our customers were requesting a new type of Balance System Nozzle.  Once again, Julius was up for the challenge and started work on a new type of Bellow and Vapor Seal System.  Julius saw the need for a Balance System nozzle that would be able to pass future requirements now known as "Leak Decay".  The new nozzle system, called the 5000 series, was certified by the California Air Resources Board in 1996.
